I’m Carrie, the architect behind Hampshire Architect in Netley Abbey. I help people across southern Hampshire decide whether to move or improve, creating beautiful practical spaces that work for real family life.

As a mum of two myself, I know homes need to work well and not just look good in photos. Most of my work happens around kitchen tables with sketch paper, coffee and lots of honest conversations, which I love.

A lot of the people I work with know something doesn’t work in their home anymore. Maybe they need more usable space, better flow, more light or connection with the garden. I can help you see what’s possible with your home and even compare it to a house you may be considering buying.

I also offer accompanied estate agent viewings and often work with people who have just moved into a new house and want to turn it into their forever home.

We had the pleasure of working with Carrie briefly recently whilst exploring the option to extend our home. From the outset Carrie was absolutely brilliant, she explained the process and costs really clearly from the outset. She also sent us some extremely helpful information on things we should consider. Whilst we did not actually proceed with the project due to some challenges at our home, we would not have been able to make that decision without her help. As we could not proceed with an extension she gave us some very sensible ideas of how to use the space we do have better. Carrie is so knowledgeable and easy to chat to. We may plan a project at a new property and if we do she will be the first person I call! Thank you Carrie.
