Remodelling, Bishop’s Waltham

Completed in 2013, this project involved the total redesign of the rear of the property, which was previously badly laid out and wasteful of space. Working closely with the customers and contractor Sigma ProBuild Ltd, Hampshire Architect have created a large sunlit kitchen-dining and entertaining space. The minimalist kitchen by Harvey Jones provides the finishing touch. High-spec triple glazing and high levels of insulation have been used to minimise energy use and make the renovation as sustainable and eco as possible. Independent Building Inspector Martin King of LBC South was also instrumental in making the build run smoothly. The customers are very pleased with the transformation of their home:

‘We found Carolyn easy to work with, and felt that our ideas were listened to and incorporated in the design process. We found Hampshire Architect delivered a prompt, efficient and friendly service. The plans at all stages of the process were easy to understand, and not just by us but also by the local council planning committee, kitchen designers and the builders tendering, drawing especial comment by all groups.’ Peter & Alison, Bishop’s Waltham
