Listed Building Refurbishment, Near Winchester

This property was almost derelict and in need of a lot of work to make it suitable as a modern home. Hampshire Architect drew up proposals to do this, whilst retaining and enhancing the character of the house. The planning officer and conservation architect were involved from the start, as the house is Grade II Listed. Separate planning and listed building applications were made for each element. These included a well hidden extension, a new detached garage, a new swimming pool enclosure and many sympathetic internal alterations and window alterations. Hampshire Architect also relocated the driveway, which originally led to the side of the building. Hampshire Architect, Project Manager Martin Hendrick and the customers, have worked together to give the house dramatic kerb appeal. They were delighted with the result:
